2009 Summer Getaway Lacrosse Tournament

All Summer Getaway venues are smoke free/pet free venues. Thank you for respecting our fans and players!

The Summer Getaway Lacrosse Tournament is a competitive lacrosse tournament for BOYS Middle School and High School lacrosse teams. There are divisions for U11, U13, U15 and High School A and B. The tournament will be held at Episcopal School in Alexandria, VA on June 27-28, 2009. Awards will be presented to the first and second place teams in each division.

A $400.00 nonrefundable deposit will hold a team's spot in the tournament until May 15, 2009 at which time nonrefundable full payment is due.

All players/parents should complete a Waiver of Liability/Medical Release Authorization form. These forms should be turned in at the registration desk, as a team, prior to the team's first game.

All teams should submit a complete team roster by June 8, 2009. These rosters should be emailed to info@summergetawaylax.com.

Roster Notes

1. No player may compete or be rostered on more than one team during the tournament. Any team with a player in violation of this rule will forfeit the games the player is known to have competed in and will forfeit the opportunity to advance to the playoffs.
2. Any player that has competed in High School (Fresh/Soph, JV or Varsity) msut play in a High School division. They are ineligible to compete in the U15 division.
3. U11 players must have been born in 1997 or 1998 (or later).
4. U13 players must have been born in 1995 or 1996 (or later).
5. U15 players must have been born in 1993 or 1994 (or later).
6. No High School Graduates are eligible.

U11, U13 and U15 Rule Variances

U15 games will be officiated with advancement rules - 20 seconds to clear midfield and 10 seconds to get it in the attack area.
U11 and U13 games will not have the advancement rules in place.
On a foul in the box play will not stop unti the ball leaves the box or the defense gains possession of the ball.
When a faceoff violation occurs before the whistle, the offending teams faceoff player must leave the field and be substituted for through the substitution area.

Fields will also be located at Minnie Howard School and St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School. Shuttle buses will run from Episcopal School to and from St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School throughout the weekend. Minnie Howard School is located directly acrosse W. Braddock road from the Episcopal School campus. Families can park at Episcopal School or Minnie Howard School.

Summer Getaway is a Tournament of Champions Qualifying Event. The top teams in the High School A Division will be invited to attend the Tournament of Champions - the Boys High School Club Lacrosse National Championship!
